I completely agree — liberals, especially in media, have accidentally colluded in cohering lots of discrete notes of disffection into a single, anti-liberal cacophony. That said, there are plenty of libertarian billionaires in America who’ve spent the last thirty years, and a whole lot of money, in pursuit of the same. It took a while, but they finally lighted on the idea of conflating liberalism with “the establishment.”
