I’m not sure, but I don’t see much sign of these higher quality leaders you mention! I’m not sure that anyone has the charisma and moral probity to negotiate the maelstrom of online judgementalism, tbh.

I’m a leftie, but still recognize that society needs some form of hierarchy (and attendant deference to expertise/leadership etc) in order to function. Where the current epidemic of incompetence will lead us is anyone’s guess.
